Lesson 4: pronouns.

Let’s begin with something a bit more difficult: subject and object pronouns.

In Chinese they use the same form for the subject pronoum and the object pronoun.


Thus, they have:

  • I, me à
  • You à 你,您(formal)
  • He,him à
  • She, her à
  • It à

You get the plurals by adding. Note that there are 3 different forms for they. 

There is no different in pronuntiation for the three different forms of the third person. 

As verbs do not change their form, you must use the pronoun to know who are you talking about.
